Founded in 2015 by architects José Carlos Albo and Yair Limón, MDRN is a Mexico-based architecture studio rooted in the philosophies of brutalism, modernism, and functionalism, MDRN’s work embodies a raw, poetic dialogue between materiality and environment.
Graduates of ITESO (Western Institute of Technology and Higher Education), Albo and Yair have honed a design language that is both bold and restrained—where concrete meets nature, where shadows sculpt space, and where functionality is elevated to an art form. Their projects, embrace the honest textures of natural materials, the interplay of light and void, and the quiet power of purpose-driven design.
With each line drawn and each structure raised, MDRN does more than create buildings—it creates experiences. Spaces that breathe, evolve, and stand the test of time. Spaces that feel as if they have always belonged. .
